Artist Tania Guerrera will be among merchants and artists “Bringing out the Arts Village Wide” Oct 19, 2006 thru Oct 22, 2006. Thirteen retail shops in downtown Nyack, NY will present “mini gallery” exhibits of 13 top artists, from the County in celebration of Nyack’s new positioning and slogan “NYACK Gateway to New York Arts & Culture.”
Retailers, bars, restaurants and the Helen Hayes Theater will participate with all forms of the arts during the Art Walk Nyack, Oct 19, 2006 thru Oct 22, 2006 four-day event. Thirteen retail shops in downtown Nyack, NY will present “mini gallery” exhibits of 13 top artists, from the County in celebration of Nyack’s new positioning and slogan “NYACK Gateway to New York Arts & Culture.” The Nyack Parking Authority is providing free valet parking on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21 & 22.
Tania Guerrera will present her works at the popular restaurant Casa Del Sol’s new establishment Manna. Manna will open directly next door to Casa Del Sol, and plans to become a “take-out boutique” where customers will be able to buy light healthy meals, have a drink, buy art, listen to world music and enjoy the ambiance.
Artist Tania Guerrera is a Puerto Rico born New York resident her work has been displayed at: The Harlem Book Fair, Nyack Street Fair, Garnerville Industrial Arts Center, Haverstraw Arts and Antiques Fair, Paradox Nightclub, Baltimore, Maryland, Yoga Mountain Institute in New City, Shelter Night Club NYC, SUNY Empire State College in Westchester County, The Tunnel Nightclub NYC, the Frank Welles Gallery in Garnerville and she participated in the juried “Justice for All: Artist Reflect on the Death Penalty” show in Austin, Texas.
She also worked as a teaching artist for El Museo Del Barrio located on Museum Mile, NYC; there she ran an educational workshop about the Taino People, the natives of the Caribbean. Her work was exhibited at the Pomona Cultural Center were she was an alternate artist in residence. Recently she displayed her work during the Legislature’s annual Black History Month exhibit and the Spring Valley Legislature office recognized her for contributions to the community.
About her art she says “My art represents the many dimensions of my personality, and I bring all of these influences into my work.
